The Salmon River is an amazing pristine waterway just 4 miles North of Lincoln City that enters the Pacific Ocean near Cascade Head.  Wild steelhead and cutthroat trout, as well as chinook released from the hatchery upstream in Otis, curious harbor seals, osprey, eagles, and various wetland wildlife will keep you company as you paddle from beautiful, mountain farmland through wetland marshes, to the massive white sand ocean beach at the mouth of the bay (accessible only by boat). Paddles to this destination will always include lunch or snacks on the beach.
