Nestucca Bay

Nestucca Bay, just south of Pacific City and at the mouth of the Nestucca River, is a wonderful paddle to experience the beauty of the Oregon coast. With the Nestucca Wildlife Refuge on one side and the sandy dunes of Bob Straub State Park on the other, you are paddling through the homes of curious harbor seals, Bald Eagles and Peregrine falcons, to name just some of the abundant wildlife.  At the mouth of the bay, as you explore the clear water under your boat you may see crab, jellyfish, or other sea life amid the barnacled rocks, or get out and explore the beautiful white sand beaches and tide pools. Paddling upriver also allows for a beautiful and peaceful paddle that wends through verdant pastures surrounded by mountains, and includes many varieties of bird life to view.
